The Brief

D POP has been evolving the design of the originally produced Chupa Chups Totem since 2017. In 2020 Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) required a new format to increase awareness of the other SKUs within the Chupa Chups range sold in Australia and New Zealand.

In 2021, PVM Indonesia looked to ID POP for innovation, however had specific requirements for their domestic market.

New requests included the ability to hang bagged SKUs at eye height in addition to extra volume of product to gravity feed.

Our Solution

Our existing ANZ version of Novelty Totem required some reengineering to meet the brief. Same 360 degree spinning structure now included an additional metal rim to the upper body featuring sturdy hanging hooks for heavy bags of candy.

Results

Harmonization of POP displays across the globe for PVM is seen as crucial to the brand in creating a consistent look and feel within retail environments. For these reason ID POP now works directly with the Global Visibility Team in Barcelona.

In March of 2021 Chupa Chups Novelty Totem was awarded a Shop! ANZ Silver Marketing Award for their Petrol, Convenience and Route – Permanent Display Category.

Additionally, in March of 2022, Chupa Chups Novelty Totem was awarded an MAA Bronze Globe in the 35th Annual Awards Event, for Best Business to Business or Trade Marketing Campaign.
