Develop a permanent off location display for Lenovo’s Smart Range Essentials that will be placed in stores for 2+ years.
Incorporate 360-degree brand visibility and accentuate the blue colour that is distinguishably linked to the Smart Home Range, and not Lenovo’s PC Hardware accessories.
Display is to feature updateable header messaging plus shelf adjustability to allow for the numerous SKUs.
Design, produce and ship direct to 200 national store locations, and setup in stores ready to go.
Permanent Display, Artwork Creation, Direct to Store
Primarily sheet metal display structure was produced with simple assembly in mind. Early on it was identified that it would be favourable to ship to stores in a flat pack. Benefits of shipping reduced cubic volume outweighed the need to hire a merchandising team.
The displays were locally engineered for China production. Upon unloading from the container, the displays were despatched to a national list of stores including Harvey Norman, and The Good Guys.
Design the overall dimensions within the constraints of both retailers, including JB-Hi Fi as to acknowledge the potential for a small quantity to land there.
An all-round successful activation, ID POP’s team managed the entire project including partnering with a 3rd party store activations team. In numerous instances, the store manager’s themselves instructed staff to set the display up and stock, as a sign of willingness of retailers to integrate into their store layouts.
The rollout was completed within the timelines specified and Lenovo was able to place approx. 90% of the displays produced prior to the holiday season of 2021/2022.
